Our Mission Statement
Conventional & Cosmetic Tattoo Association (CCTA) is a non-profit organization which is focused on and dedicated to the common needs and interests of both conventional and cosmetic tattoo artists. To that end, CCTA welcomes both styles of tattoo artist in a single organization that is united in its determination to preserve, protect and advance the Art of Tattooing.
CCTA is committed to:
- Providing free memberships in the organization.
- Providing the cosmetic tattoo artist with CCTA Competency and Certification Testing free of charge.
- The importance of artists sharing knowledge and information.
- Holding educational shows and expo’s at minimal cost to the participants.
- Increasing awareness of legal and regulatory matters affecting the livelihood of the independent artist and the tattoo industry as a whole.
- Opposing any organization or group that claims or attempts to claim that any type of tattooing procedure is a medical procedure; or that purposely endeavors not to use the term “tattoo” when describing any tattooing procedure(s); or whose objective it is to virtually and legally separate out from the tattooing industry any tattooing procedure(s) and artificially and wrongfully reinvent the procedure(s) as a part of any other industry, regulated or non-regulates, for motives of profit.
- Actively fighting the dissemination of false or misleading information concerning the Art of Tattooing by any organization or individual or group of individuals whose purpose is in any way malicious, slanderous, libelous, self-serving or otherwise harmful to the tattoo industry in whole or in part or nay member thereof.
- Excellence in every way, in our work ethic, in the products and services we provide, and in our relationships with our clients, employees, industries and communities.
